Norway House

Norway House is NorCham’s fiscal agent and home in Minneapolis. Founded in 2004, Norway House’s mission is distinctly focused on the contemporary facets of Norwegian business and culture and the modern connections we can make between our nations and people.

Through its programs, classes and partners housed within its recognizably blue campus, Norway House has become a hub for Nordic life in Minnesota. The Mondale Galleri, the ALSO Ingebretsen’s Gift Shop and the Kaffebar offer welcome daily cultural experiences. Classes in cooking, art, and outdoor life offer further enrichment to members. Norway House’s Minnesota Peace Initiative provides a forum for discussing critical topics in our global society. Gingerbread Wonderland, the community-made edible city, has become a beloved tradition for thousands of visitors during the holiday season.

NorCham MSP and BARN, which centralize the business programs under Norway House’s organizational umbrella, provide invaluable networks to business partners and clients in the US and the Nordics. BARN (Business Accelerator Resource Network) provides services to Nordic businesses taking their first steps in the United States market through individualized mentorship and support from seasoned market professionals. Additionally, the Honorary Norwegian Consulate in Minnesota is housed at Norway House.

Norway House frequently hosts dignitaries and delegations from the Nordics. In 2022, for the opening of Norway House’s expanded campus, Her Majesty Queen Sonja was present to cut the ribbon alongside Ambassador Anniken Krutnes, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey and Senior United States Senator from Minnesota Amy Klobuchar. In 2023, Norway House hosted Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre. His Majesty King Harald V is an official patron of Norway House.

The Norwegian American is Norway House’s official publication, with a dedicated business section covering what’s happening in Norway and across North America.
